For my 2015 Ford F150 5, I purchased a MBRP insaller series 3 inch resistor delete exhaust in front of the rear wheel duel. It sounded like an all-out race truck at first, with a straight pipe, which was nice, but it was just too loud all around, and the in-cab drone made driving 60mph annoying. After reading reviews, I decided to purchase this resistor, and I'm glad I did. The 16-inch, 3-inch-diameter resistor took just enough of the edge off to give me the tone and volume I wanted; it's still loud, but it's a good loud; it eliminated a lot of the in-cab drone and reduced the cold start scream. I am pleased with my purchase and believe it was well worth the $40.
Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please I removed a very expensive Gibson high performance muffler for this and wow, what a perfect sound low and deep but not shitty like a straight piped Honda Accord. I've had flowmasters, thrush, Gibson, and this cheapo has to be the best exhaust tone over I've ever had on a rig. I used a 5 to mount mine. 7 350 with magna flow cat and long tube headers 3" all the way out. On my other five, I'll use the same setup. It costs $7. 350, which is less than a thrush glasspack or an overpriced flowy. Get it, it'll make your seats rattle like a potato sack and add at leastttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt.
As you can see in the photos, there isn't much to it. However. This is the best 35 dollars I have ever spent on a muffler. I've gone through quite a bit in search of the perfect sound. This small baffled open muffler is exactly what I needed to get the sound I wanted from my 2011 Chevrolet 2500HD with a 6. You will not be dissatisfied with your purchase.
Shorty race mufflers made of stainless steel. With the exception of where the internal cage is joined, they passed the magnet test. I'd prefer stainless steel for everything, but for the price, I can't complain. It appears to be polished in the photo, but it isn't. However, the welds are very neat and clean. 3" in diameter on the inside When the exhaust system is finished, I'll post an update with tone and sound descriptions. The vband rings and 90 degree bends shown in the photo were sold separately.
It makes a lot of noise. This sounds great, but I was hoping it would reduce the amount of straight piping.
IT CERTAINLY ASSISTED. br>With an MBRP cat-back exhaust, long tube headers, and no cats. The cold starts were so raspy that they would literally wake the entire neighborhood up at 4 a. m. br>br>Excellent welds on good quality stainless steel. It was welded in the middle. The Cackle died as a result of the pipe. It had a nice deep tone and didn't have any restrictions on the exhaust.
Does exactly what it says on the tin. Please keep in mind that this is a straightforward example. not a muffler, but a resistor If that's what you're looking for, this is ideal.
I'll leave one, but I'm going to stop asking for one almost every other day.
