Questions & Answers

Is it better to use metric or SAE units? What are the dimensions, widths, types, and grades? Thank you, but there's no information about the bolts on this page. ?

M8 x 1 is the designation given by Dorman. 25 pitch. I'm not sure how long it will be. Class 10 is assigned to the rest of their "Autograde" metric studs. These ought to be included, too.

Will these work on a 4 cylinder Toyota Camry LE from 1995?

This kit appears to be designed for a six-cylinder engine.

Do the studs and nuts on the lower end of the manifold, where it connects to the pipe flange, work as well? Is this the reason for the ten?

No, the flange bolts are larger; I believe you get ten in case one is stripped or cross threaded. I used these to paint my truck, and they turned out great.

Is this going to fit my Ford F-150 from 2008?

If the score is a four, then yes. 6L V8

M8x1
4/5

Many applications, including an LS3 camaro, can be fitted with 25 studs. After a bit of searching on the internet, I came across this Dorman kit. I'm not sure what it's designed to fit, but the studs are M8x1. My LS3 Camaro exhaust manifold hardware has a 25 thread pitch on both ends, which is the correct thread pitch. I wanted to replace the factory bolts with studs that would look better with the stainless exhaust headers I installed a few years ago; I liked the look of the arp bolts, but I'm not going to spend $100 on header bolts; I'm sure they're the best header bolts in the world, but who cares? I didn't use the included black nuts because I didn't like how they looked. These aren't stainless, but they appear to be zinc coated, so they shouldn't rust. I used some serrated flange 12mm head zinc coated nuts that I already had on hand to finish my project; I needed two sets of these, and there are ten per package, so count how many you need before ordering. If you use metric hardware with 12 or 13mm bolt heads, these will fit almost anything. 8x1. The thread pitch of 25 is extremely common.

I'm ecstatic because it's powerful, high-quality, and affordable
5/5

These were for a built honda race motor, the turbo manifold had a thicker flange than stock, the stock bolts were not long enough, plus being a race car, the bolts are in and out of aluminum head will strip threads after a few good torque cycles, these are very good, these were able to bury all the way into the head, the tolerances are of machinist quality, threads were nice and tight, no loose thread slap These are High Quality studs with locking nuts, and the nut is 13 mm in diameter rather than the standard 12 mm. SWEET. They come highly recommended from me.

work for two people 2 ecotec
5/5

I was swapping engines in a 2009 Chevy Cobalt, and when I picked up the donor engine, it had a broken exhaust manifold stud, and two more snapped off while removing the manifold. By welding flat washers to the remaining stud in the head and nuts to the washers, I was able to remove the broken ones. I removed the remaining seven studs and replaced them all with this kit because I was not confident in them. They were slightly longer than the originals, but this did not pose any problems. It was a quick fix.

They all screwed into the heads perfectly, with no part-way grab like the ones in
5/5

On two of the five, I swapped out studs for these. I had 4 broken studs in 4L 3V Ford cylinder heads that I had reworked, so I put these in. They all screwed into the heads perfectly, with no grab halfway in like cheap fastners, and once the nuts were on, it was a nice smooth run up to torque spec, with the nut being a self-locking type. I'd strongly suggest them because the quality is excellent and they work well. The originals had broken on both heads on the last two cylinders, so heat cycling will be the true test. Hopefully, they won't snap and will last.

Others are selling 2 for the same price as we are selling 8 for the same price
5/5

Thank you so much. Economics 101 is an introduction to economics. Two out of the eight have been installed. 100% appear 100% to be 100% fine. For two, the price is the same as what others are charging. This is especially true when you consider who made the product. It was an obvious choice. These aren't limited to automobiles. They work on a variety of small engines, including Honda and other brands, as well as motorcycles. The threads are 8 mm x 1 mm in size. There are 25 threads per square inch. By today's engineering standards, this is pretty standard.

Ford Focus 2: No problem, everything is fine
5/5

0 SPI SOHC; 0 SPI SOHC; 0 SPI SOHC; used an anti- Installed the exhaust manifold, torqued the nuts to 20 ft lbs. , seize on the studs, screwed them in by hand until they bottomed out. 'Bob's your uncle,' says the narrator. You've got your torque wrench set too high, or it's broken.

The ECOTEC 2 is compatible with this item
5/5

A Chevrolet Equinox with a 4L engine. M8 studs are used. The dimensions are 25 x 56mm, and it appears to be used on a variety of engines. I was unable to locate original ECOTEC studs. The original is nearly identical to this one. The original stud's E socket has been replaced with a hex socket. It's a few millimeters longer than the original (org. 52mm). The finish on the surface varies. It's very similar to the original in terms of overall design. The nuts are black, but everything else is the same as it was before. If you break one stud, as I did, this is a handy tool to have.

These are what I used on my 2002 F-150. 150 5. 4L. They're the same size as the ones that came from the factory. My purchase went well.
