above. I read that the OEM item was a warranty upgrade for this model, but I read about the resolution on various Jeep forums. Dealer repairs are expensive ($500). I bought this item for installation at the same time as I was replacing the soft top, and it came with new hardware (screws)!.

Get this if you're bothered by wind

It was simple to put in place. The metal component outperforms the original by a significant margin. There is no longer any wind noise.
