There is another unbranded ball and spring check valve in my possession, which I used to make a homebrew solution Mostly due to its different design, VIAIR's have much less resistance from the compressor side when it comes to airflow. Also, they already come with thread sealant, which is very convenient.

It works for 2 weeks and then starts leaking and I don't know what else Check valves from VIAIR are nothing more than junk! Most of their other products are great, but these are worth not buying! A positive aspect of these things is that they work as.

Corrosion develops on the valve as a result of It seems to work fine. Rust can form on the valve from the different materials used when it is left sitting for an extended period. Due to this, I have had a few empty tanks, but most of the time after a few cycles of the compressors the problem is resolved.
