Can the ends be fitted with a hose of what size?

My silicone hose was 3mm but I think a hose clamp will let you use up to 4mm. Alternatively, the stock Mercedes breather hose can be used as well. There is almost no difference between the two. Please let me know if you have any questions.

The product doesn't indicate a suitable match, but I can confirm that it is good enough to replace a R/C Crossfire, without risking damage to it. This would also apply to other vehicles that are powered by the same Mercedes engine. There is no flow direction arrow, but anyone who looks at it will realize it is obvious.

An arrow pointing in the direction of travel is missing

It is not possible to determine the flow direction of air by looking at the valve. Furthermore, the valve does not interrupt either airflow in one direction or the other.
