It was installed on my 2003 S10 next to the fuel filter since it provided the easiest access to the fuel line. It would have been a very easy installation if a fitting had been provided to connect directly to the filter. For this reason I modified the existing fitting.
There is a pretty good chance that it will fit anyone. As far as I am concerned, it should work on a 1994 Dakota. The only thing that could cause an issue is if the fuel line is different.
This will regulate the flow of fuel between the engine and the fuel filter. The tank pump should be replaced as soon as possible.

The fuel pressure was low in my 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am after the engine was shut off for around 10 minutes. The check valve in the fuel pump was bad, so I decided to try this method instead of just replacing it. I needed to use the two white spacers for nylon fuel lines since my fuel lines are nylon. It only took me a bit to figure out that my kit was missing one of the spacers, so I bought some from Lowe's. The lack of good instructions was another thing I didn't like. It was only on the back of the container that there were instructions, and they weren't very informative. I didn't get much help either with I guess for someone who has done this type of thing before, the instructions were probably okay. That was the first time I had ever done something like this. As soon as the tubing touched the snap rings inside the check valve, the snap rings started to dislodge. Getting it right has finally paid off, and it starts up on the first try after sitting for a while.
Adding to this, I eventually ended up having to replace my fuel line after installing this device multiple times to try to stop it from My only option is to shop around for a fix since the leak is coming from the threaded portion. Not only did this device not work, but it also cost me money because I had to replace my fuel line, which was fine before I attempted to install This whole thing was made even worse since I live in Minnesota and I had to work outside, and my truck is still not fixed. The product that I purchased from this manufacturer was a POS. I will never buy from this manufacturer It has been a complete waste of time and money for me!.
As a result, it starts on its first try and maintains fuel pressure after it has been The products I have installed are many and varied in my repair shop. The item you are purchasing will prevent you from having to purchase a fuel pump that costs more than $400. Depending on the plastic lines, you have to modify it by beveling out the brass nut and the plastic lines because they are really tight, but it isn't hard to do great product. I hope you enjoyed reading this!.
On my 2003 S10, I had an issue where I would have to turn the ignition switch on a couple of times to get the fuel pressure in line before the car would start. In reading some posts, I saw someone who fixed this issue by replacing the fuel pump with a check valve. Some other poster has stated that you need to make sure your car has a pressure regulator at least aft of where you install this. If you don't, you will blow out the seals in your In essence, I think the fuel filter quick connector would help if it was included in the kit. Unless you can connect, you will need to figure out how to do so.
An issue with the check valve on top of the pump was causing the pump to take a long time to crank up Just off two months ago, I had a new pump installed so I was reluctant to mess with it The valve engine continues to fire as quickly as it used to after installing this device.
I can't imagine how many good fuel pumps have been labeled as faulty only for the valve to fail. It is also Rather than dropping my 1997 Z28 Camaro tank, I was able to keep it in place. I jacked the back of the car up, placed it on jackstands, cut the nylon fuel feed line as close to the tank as possible, spliced in the check valve using the supplied plastic ferrules for the nylon line, et voilĂ ! Now you won't have to start from scratch! Before installation, I inspected the fuel pressure in the fuel rails with my gauge, verified that the valves operated as they should, and gave the installation a once-over. The gauge test was performed again after the installation and found that it was accurate Pressure in the rail helped to hold 40 lbs for an indefinite period of time. From now on, you will not have to start from scratch. Good product. I recommend it to anyone who is experiencing hard starts or other issues Thanks a lot.
Use it on fuel systems with more than one line of fuel, On supply, this will work fine to hold a prime as long as you have a return line.
