By utilizing this kit, the EBPV pedestal will be replaced by a non-metallic pedestal This pedestal powers the EBPV. A common use of this kit is when the EBPV does not function correctly or when oil is leaking from it.
It seems as though the pedestal should be the same but some of the exhaust pipes on the turbo are different in size. I am sorry that I was unable to provide more assistance
In the back of the block is a hole to which a plug is attached
For the plug, you just wrap a piece of electrical tape around it, secure it and leave it to Since you will no longer have the Executive Vice President, you will not need it

Having said the above, I will add one more thing to what has already been said Various ring styles. This difference in outcome is not small, in fact there is a big difference It is important that rings are durable and of high quality. Installed it (fitted It started on the 3 powerstroke just fine), but the onboard computer was not responding I was watching for the breakage and turned the engine off as soon as I saw it. Fortunately, the ring between the turbo and the pedestal immediately burst, spewing oil all over the valley and down the back of the engine. After reinstalling OEM OS, it has worked perfectly It did not spill oil when I turned the engine back on after replacing the rings. In addition, I advise that you use a 1/8-inch drilling bit Because the plug has a larger diameter than it is meant to fit, I had to use a 27 NPT tap because it would not fit into the hole intended for it. As a result, I ground out the threads with a grinding stone and a dremel, and then I gorilla-glued the plug in place while keeping an eye out for oil (the plug held). In the absence of the tap, I would have ensured that the threads were straight. Lastly, know that it screws in at an angle, not straight into the wall. My second attempt at installation went well, and I was pleased with my results With socket extensions and an elbow for the socket, I could adjust the angle at which the driver was pointed. this job go way faster, so I recommend getting an elbow as well as a long extension for the job. There is a universal 12-volt charger you'll need to get started This kit includes new bolts which are standard hex in size and used to remove the factory turbo EBP housing, but the factory bolts need to be removed with a point socket, which is eight or ten mm wide.
I regret buying 3 and sort of wish I had not. The kit appears to be well made and well designed at first glance. It was necessary to auger out four of the seven mounting holes on the plate bolted to the side of the turbo because the mounting holes weren't aligned. The o- button didn't interest me, as many users suggested it would With it came a pair of rings. The OEM ones arrived faster than I expected, and I am glad I purchased them. A glance shows the pedestal to be well made, but the mounting holes are not aligned with the mounting structure. I'm not sure if it's the holes that mount the pedestal down or the holes that bolt the turbo to the pedestal. Due to the misalignment of these holes, it was a complete nightmare to connect the up pipes and bolt down the turbo. In the event that I couldn't get the part on my truck it would probably just be going back to the original part and plugging the holes.
I would not recommend buying. It is a waste of time. It is an oil leak of immense proportions. a very tedious job and takes a lot of time. I had a big oil leak because the pedestal was not shaped properly. It was a job that a Ford diesel technician helped me with. It was impossible to line up the pedal perfectly to the motor, and I had to drill out a few holes to make it fit, and the installation was a nightmare. Spend the extra money and buy good pedestals instead! The pedestal is a waste of money and should be avoided at all costs.
Very good quality at a very good price. The leaking turbo impeller needed to be replaced along with the up pipes, so I decided to replace them both at once. Having read about ebpv freezing up when least expected I decided to purchase the ebpv delete kit from Blackhorse. It is made from high quality cast iron and aluminum. I did not like the new 12 point hardware so I used the old 12 point hardware instead. The product works great, I would buy it.
I was able to install these without any issues. It was a quality product and I did go with a name brand aftermarket option However, it came with a ring set. There is no word from the suppliers on what they must do You can see what the rings were made of and read some reviews that were not too complimentary. The products I have received are overall satisfactory to me.
The plug provided should have loctite on it if an alternate pressure sensor line is not to be installed. If the electrical plug is to be terminated with a new sensor, tape the sensor or order a special plug termination. Using straight pipes, this mod will greatly improve the performance of your truck. Due to the fact that I don't have to press as hard on the accelerator pedal, I get better mileage.
To make it fit, I had to hogg the holes out with a round file, which was not happy about. I would've sent it back, but my truck was broke. Another thing that they don't mention is that when you delete the warm-up plate, the check engine light will come on. Since the plug to the valve is not plugged in, a code is set. I think it should have gone to a diesel site instead because it's not very well made.
The Value here isn't bad at all! Deliveries in a timely manner. Made in China. You see in the box for the first time that the product is made in China, and at around $100 less than other diesel sites, I wouldn't say it's a bad deal. My concern was that the surfaces of the mates had been scratched, so hopefully no leaks would occur. We have not yet encountered any. We only had to modify the small amount that we had to modify because the package came as it said.
