Questions & Answers
That is a question I am unable to answer. This was purchased for a 2010 model. Examine your tensioner and make a comparison. The one listed by my local parts store did not have the longer bolt hole bracket that I required, so this one was perfect. Without going to a dealer, local stores were unable to obtain this tensioner assembly.

It's a lot easier to install after you've taken out the Pulley. This tensioner was a perfect fit for my 2012 Suzuki SX4's OEM tensioner, which had failed. To remove the tensioner, I first removed the bolt from the original tensioner pulley. The tensioner can now be removed without having to pull the water pump. I used a vice to remove the pulley from the new tensioner, wrapping it in rags to prevent the tensioner from being damaged. After tightening both bolts and installing the pulley, I installed the tensioner. Instead of using the smaller, flimsier washer that came with this tensioner, I used the OEM washer. I used a rag to cinch it up. To keep the water pump pulley in place, wrap a breaker bar handle around it and place it between it and the tensioner pulley. I was tightening the pulley when something happened. Overall, this product has served me well and keeps the belt tension where it should be for the time being.
So far, everything has fit perfectly and functions as it should. On my 2013 Suzuki Grand Vitara, I was able to fix the broken tensioner. It was impossible to get the old one out or the new one in without first removing the water pump and the pulley from the tensioner. I chose to remove the pulley with an impact gun and then reinstall it with a ratchet once the tensioner body was in place. I also had an issue with the top bolt on the water pump catching on the pulley, but I was able to get it off and on with some difficulty. Those issues are with Suzuki, not this pulley manufacturer, which appears to be identical to the one on my GV. It has only 500 miles on it and will be updated if anything changes.
It was a perfect fit for my Grand Vitara 2011 model. The one that the shop had given my mechanic was incorrect, so I ordered this and had it in a few days. I've had it in the car for a few weeks now, and the belt is still tight, so I'm hoping it will last. I'm hoping that because the car only has 80k miles on it, I'll be able to drive it for a while before having to trade it in. Hopefully, other parts will be just as easy to come by.
This tensioner performed admirably on a 2012 Grand Vitara with two wheels. It was a bit of a challenge to install the 4L engine without removing the water pump, but it was possible.
The one.
Fits perfectly on the Suzuki Grand Vitara 2 from 2012. 4L.
