Selected User Reviews For Dorman 917-025 Engine Timing Belt Tensioner Spring for Select Mazda Models
The unit I bought was a timing belt tensioner replacement for my Protege, but I decided not to use it since I could purchase an OEM one locally for a similar price. For anyone wondering, the unit came in a little box and had made in the USA label on it.
For my 2002 Mazda Protégé 5 this is the perfect fit. After you get the hang of it, it is simple to install. When I had my timing belt installed previously, it broke and the teeth came off of it. While it is not that hard to replace all of it, it does take some time to become proficient. I gave this product 5 stars because so far, it has been perfectly functional. The review will be updated after I have had some time to reflect on it.
I used this vehicle for my business.
I am extremely satisfied with the product, shipping was quick and the quality was excellent. Thanks This 1998 Mazda 626 has a blown head gasket, upgraded timing belt, pulley, water pump, etc. It also has some minor rust on the ground. There is only one LX left in the inventory with.
If you intend to change the timing belt on a Mazda Protege5, you must have this tool. There is no way to explain why the timing belt kit does not come with it. I am hoping that this one will last longer than the one that was previously there, which lost a hook and left my timing belt tensionless!.
So far, it seems to be working fine.
The Mazda 02 Protégé 5 fits my body.
I was very impressed with the spring, and it worked exactly as there was an OEM part! It's a race that I have won many times as a Mazda Master Technician! The original works like the one we offer, but at a lower price!.
