This genuine GM OEM part fixed a P06DC code on my 2013 Chevy Malibu with the 2. I couldn't find much information about this part or the code online, but what I did find suggested that I'd have to remove the catalytic converter to get to it (which may be true for the 2. 0L, but there are people who say you have to do it for the 2. Installation took about 20 minutes and did not necessitate jacking up the car or crawling underneath it. Because you'll be working right next to the catalytic converter and exhaust manifold, you'll want to wait a long time after driving the car to avoid burning yourself on hot exhaust components. The part is located directly above the oil filter and is easily accessed by removing the shield that covers it. Two bolts, one with a 10mm socket and the other with a 15mm socket If the surrounding area is dirty, clean it up. One bolt, requiring a 10mm socket, secures the part in place. After removing the bolt, I rotated the part counterclockwise to allow me to pry the bracket off the part with a flat head screwdriver. I also slid an oil drain pan under the oil filter to catch any spilled oil. Follow the wire back to the connector, unlock it with the red locking tab, push down on the tab, and pull the two connector halves apart. Grab the new part, apply a fresh coat of oil to the o-ring, and install it. Place the new part in the ring and close it. Replace the sheild after tightening the bolt and connecting the electrical connector. After replacing this part, the check engine light went out immediately, whereas it had been on almost constantly for the previous week; it has now been two weeks and everything is fine.
Like the other reviewer, I have a 5L engine. After getting up to highway speed for about 30 seconds, I was able to turn off my check engine light. After 4 months of use, the installation was simple and the product is still working well. So far, everything has gone well! I would strongly suggest it.
Impala ltz 2 P06dc code 2014 Emissions were a problem for 5l. The rocker arm control solenoid valve was a faulty part for GM. Despite the fact that the code had been replaced by the dealership, it resurfaced. Then they claimed that the ecm had been replaced, but the code was still present. Then this oil flow control valve was replaced, and the code was reset, but it didn't come back. This was the solution to the problem.
This was purchased for my 2013 Chevy Malibu, which has a 2. It was simple to install, and my check engine light is no longer illuminated.
Error code has been removed.
There will be no issues.
