The shims could use some tighter tolerances, but they do the job. It's much easier to order a restocking kit for the range I use the most than it is to pull the shims, go to a dealer, and buy them one at a time. I ended up ordering a restocking kit for the range I use the most so that I had enough. If you have several cylinders in the same range on a V4 bike with four valves per cylinder, there aren't enough shims to finish the job. I finally broke down and bought my own kit after borrowing it from other bikers a couple of times.

The DL650/SV650 valve tappets are a perfect fit. Lowes sells a magnetic pickup tool with a telescoping handle. Because the shims and the magnet have the same diameter, removing the shim buckets and replacing the new shim is a breeze. Keep in mind the following: Place the label on the bottom.

The shims in this Hot Cams refill kit are just the right size for adjusting the valve cam clearances on my Suzuki DL650. There's no need to spend more money on the full kit. The shims are clearly marked and manufactured to exacting standards.

This is a fantastic alternative to purchasing a complete shim kit. The shims on my 2005 SV650 are usually only a few millimeters out (typically in the 1. 60- 75 range), so purchasing this refill kit makes more sense than purchasing the entire kit when you only require two items. 3 shims. br>br>excellent product at a reasonable cost.
