Yes, the curved side of the axle is against the leaf spring, and the flat side is against the axle. The flat side of the shim has a recess milled out so that the bolt head is flush with the shim.
Mine have a 2 degree angle, but I'm not sure how wide they are. However, based on my memory, I'd estimate that it's around 2.
Mine was about 5 inches tall.

This will work on a third-generation Tacoma, but it will need to be modified. To fit inside the u-shaped hole, it's 1/16" wider. The center pin cannot be inserted because the hole is too small. To drill a larger hole, you'll need a step bit, and to machine the sides, you'll need some sort of sander. If you don't have those tools, skip this one and look for shims that are.
Because these aren't stainless steel, they can be painted if necessary. The center will almost certainly need to be drilled out to fit the diameter of your leaf spring bolt; in my case (Nissan Xterra), the hole was too small.

These were installed on my Xterra as part of a lift kit. I purchased a kit that included some aluminum tiny shims that I had heard did not work well. So far, a month has passed since I put these on. They perform admirably.
These were pre-painted, which was nice, and I measured 2 degrees with my phone, which was accurate once installed. One side should be machined so that the centering bolt head can sit flush.
