So far, I've managed to obtain the number four. I'm guessing it's an lr4 (vin code v) because it's an 8-liter Vortec. So, I guess I'm not in need of this?

8, 5. 3, 6. 0,6. 0 etc.. Regardless of whether it's an iron or aluminum truck block (Vortec) or an aluminum car (LS) block, all LS architecture engines require this (whether it's this or the stock plastic one). So, yes, you'll need one if you don't want to run out of oil.

Excellent craftsmanship. It's a lot better than the original one, which was made of plastic. It might feel a little tight at first, but with a little assembly line and light force, it'll fit perfectly.
