Questions & Answers

Wouldn't it return some oil vapors to the engine if it didn't have a filter element on the outlet port (which goes to the intake valves)?

Not even close to what it was prior to the installation. It's designed in such a way that it catches and separates almost everything. Of course’s pretty much impossible to remove 100% of then vaporized oil droplets of then vaporized oil droplets of then vaporized oil droplets of then vaporized oil droplets% The use of a filter appears to be a good idea, but it would quickly restrict flow and cause blockage.

Is there a set of air intake plugs included?

The oil separator replaces the factory hard line connector that runs from the PCV valve beneath the throttle body to a port on the driver's side of the intake manifold. There are no more ports available to connect to.

Is it similar to the Morosol unit in that it has a drainage port, and where is it made? Thanks?

The product is made in the United States of America. Unlike the Moroso unit, our oil separator can does not have a drain, but it is mounted in a location that allows it to be easily removed and emptied.

Is there a model for the 2018 Silverado 4 that you have? 3l v6?

For the v6 model trucks, we don't have one.

Direct injection necessitates the use of this item
5/5

For any vehicle with direct injection, such as my 2017 Silverado, this is a must-have. Because the factory fittings are included, it is the simplest installation available. Captures massive amounts of oil that would otherwise build up on your intake valves, causing a rough idle.

You won't believe what was being pumped back into your lungs
5/5

Every thousand miles or so, I empty this. Every other week, in my case. The contents are revolting, and I can't believe they didn't come with one of these from the factory. People, I guess, can't be bothered to maintain anything. Although it appeared to be overpriced, I believe it will assist my truck in living a long and happy life.

It's a must-have, and it's incredibly simple to install
5/5

This is what my 2018 5 looks like after about 3,000 miles.

Silverado (2018 model) - Take a look at what's in there
5/5

In less than ten minutes, the system was up and running. Because of the angles you had to work with, removing old hose was the most difficult part.

Maintain the cleanliness of your intake valves! Following the product video on AmericanTrucks, installing the Catch can was simple
5/5

com. The product performs as expected, but it must be emptied and cleaned every 400 miles or so (every time you fill up your tank).

It took me about 15 minutes to install with the removal of my stock intake (I was also installing a k&n filter)
4/5

n intake at the time) and performs the function for which it was created. I'm about 700 miles in with it now, and I'm going to wait another 1000 miles to open up the separator to see how much oil I have in the container.

In the long run, it'll probably be worth it
5/5

It's a beautiful structure. It performed exactly as expected. Just keep in mind that it must be emptied. I would recommend passing if you only intend to keep your truck for a few years. It will, however, benefit your engine in the long run.

Simply plug in and play! It's fantastic! It's been fantastic since I put it in 3000 miles ago
5/5

Definitely catching on to what I was hoping for. After 3K on a 2015 5, it must be cleared. The Silverado is the third vehicle in the Silverado family.
