Questions & Answers
That's how it works. This is what I tried to replace mine with, but the set screw hole leaks. I was frustrated, so I took it to my mechanic, who put in a proper freeze plug for $30.
Cummins 4 was fitted with this plug. 9 diesel. Leaks necessitated the replacement of new seals. I can't recall the size.
I couldn't find any specifications, but they're two o ring seals, so they're easy to tighten.

Installing it was a breeze. After that, it's a piece of cake to move the heat exchanger on an auto 12v.
I got this in and put them on only to have one of them leak badly from the bolt, and when I removed it, I discovered a metal sliver in there that had cut the oring. They appear to be in good working order after being replaced and cleaned out. After the motor warmed up, it started to leak, so I had to replace it and TIGHTEN IT UP AGAIN. I'd definitely look at the stock before making a purchase.
This product is not suitable for use with the rear freeze plug.
It fits perfectly, doesn't leak, and it's the cheapest I've found.
On the 12 valve, it worked flawlessly with no leaks and a perfect fit.
Cummins 9 plug. It was exactly as described. It was the perfect fit.
Don't buy it, it looks good but it doesn't work, so it'll be returned.
