By using this product, I was able to do away with the live well aerator No leaks whatsoever due to the plugging of the hole from the outside.

I used it to plug a 1 1/ 8 inch hole and it worked well. You should be aware, however, that I had to hammer it home. Prior to tightening, there is exactly an 1 1/8 inch gap.
