Questions & Answers

Would I need to add something else or can this be inserted into the document?

You must be careful not to snag the O ring when installing it, or you will have to order a new one. It fits perfectly.

Could you tell me if this will fit my Honda civic 2001 exi 1? Do you know what the engine number D15Y61002406 is for a 5cc? Is that all?

The item you have selected is not compatible with

Is this part compatible with the 2001 Honda Civic coupe DX?

It has 1 if it meets that requirement. This will fit the 7L engine I have fitted one in my 2002 EX and my son's 2001 EX, both of which are 1L engines. The engine is a 7L.

Will the Honda civic 2005 EX special edition fit in this car?

If it worked for the 2005 Civic they were attached to, however it was not a special edition of the car. If it was to work, I would assume that it would.

This is a waste of time X rings
3/5

In less than six months, I failed twice. As a first point, Honda has no business needing this part in the first place. It is made of cheap plastic with a useless hole in the middle Are you talking about the ring on the head? The manufacturer's original design seems to have been modified at the last minute in comparison to an otherwise reliable Having said that, let's talk about this POS product I bought it twice so far. Before the O- was built, a month was devoted to the first one This ring flattened to the point that it could no longer do its one job. The cylinder head is sealed with the inspection hole. Interestingly, I left a bad review for it as well, however, it does not seem to have been recorded. That would be amazing. It is very unfortunate that you need this part and I had no choice but to rebuy it since my motor is leaking oil through the first new one that I bought. In this case, the ball never even made it into the hole before the out came An engagement ring split apart and fell apart (pictured). There is not much to this piece other than being able to pop in and out. The match is scheduled for 15 o'clock This is an easy second job that you can do without a second thought. As a result of these actions They are a complete waste of money. had to RTV the old one and roll it out so I could stuff it back in and hope it works. Without this part, you cannot run your car and I believe that that is the ONLY reason this product sells at all. A failure seems to be designed into it. Don't bother with that one star because 0 is better.

The 2003 Honda Civic EX-1 is compatible with this part
5/5

This is a 7L I am replacing it perfectly. It is worth it to get an EGR gasket too, since you will be removing it, and you won't have to re-install it You can risk a leak there too if you use a gasket. A new one takes about 30 minutes. leaks in the rear of the engine. I thought they were caused by leaks in the rear main cylinder and (recently resealed following timing belt overhaul) rocker cover gaskets. You should also get some silicone sealant and put a thin layer on top of the over-arching tub X rings. If you pull the old plug, you will see oil in the head that comes out when you clean everything really well. I also suggest lifting up the RF corner of the car so you can remove Furthermore, the cleaning solution will reach the surface you are trying to clean, as well. When you lift the corner, you will be able to collect the water on the other end, making your job easier and cleaner. There is a lot of value in doing this!.

The ease of buying on Amazon compares to other places
5/5

Several of our local auto supply stores didn't have them, so I went online to look for it. Maybe the dealer is the only exception. You can get it for a lot of money. Using Hondabond on the outer surfaces of the cylinder head, I installed this into a rebuilt cylinder head I ordered an O-ring, and it looks like it will seal perfectly like other rings I ordered. It is common for Honda engines to develop this type of oil leak as they age. The old one must be popped out, the hole in the cylinder head must be cleaned, then the hole in the cylinder head must be filled in with Hondabond Put the ring in place by pressing it down. If all four legs of the cap are not in the cylinder head, then it cannot be seated fully.

It is very common for 7th gen civics to leak
4/5

I had an oil leak and didn't realize where it was coming from until I saw on YouTube that this plug was prone to fail. It's very easy to get off and on, but depending on the trim on a 7th generation Honda Civic, the EGR valve will probably be in the way and you'll need to remove it to replace it. There are two 12mm bolts holding the EGR valve in place, and they were very difficult to I felt like they were wielding down on me. Ultimately, I had to take it to a shop to get them to remove those bolts. In addition to getting a new gasket if you want to remove your EGR (like I did), you might want to get a new cleaner. Here are some pictures of the bad plug I have. Check out how flattened out those corners are A ring is on its way!.

The valve fits, and the leak is stopped - On the 2000 Honda Crv, the cover cap is missing
5/5

It seemed a little unlikely to me that I could just pop out the old leaking valve cover cap on our 2000 Crv It is possible to remove the 2LL valve cover instead of pulling it through the exhaust system. In order to remove the cap, insert the flathead screwdriver carefully under the cap and begin prying it up and around. The cap can usually be removed fairly easily as long as you are careful as the three plastic tabs are supposed to be adhered together. It was nearly the end of its life on mine. Fortunately, I almost removed all of my cap upon removing it, and I just had to tap in a new one. In conclusion, this method works and can easily replace the cap, the product is good quality, and it's easy to use. Replaced about six of them A 10 month leak has not occurred since that time!.

You'll be able to stop all those leaks now
5/5

The valve cover seemed to be the problem. No, it was just the old plug that leaked. A few minutes of removing the EGR is all that's needed. You only need to clean the cap before you start. You can remove the original cap by holding it in place with a flat-bladed screwdriver. I would like to clean everything a little bit Once the oil is in place, oil the new blade A new cap should be snapped in place using the ring. I won't be able to get my hands into there unless it doesn't feel too tight. With the new cap, the oil leak has been stopped!.

The fit was as expected
5/5

The plug in her Honda Civic was starting to leak. I don't know why Honda added these plugs (I am not sure where their heads are at with a lot of their design errors) but they always begin She had already begun to pop out of the side of the engine when I removed it, and it had already broken into several pieces. My new plug was put in after I cleaned the hole as best as I could. As of now, it appears to be doing its job. There's no telling what Honda was thinking when it made the hole.

I would recommend this one because it is It's the EXACT SAME as what I've used in the past on other crvs
5/5

I haven't installed it yet on my crv but I have used it on many others before. Don't worry about paying $25 for an aftermarket part, they all leak. With only $5 and a flathead screwdriver, the old one came out in about 5 minutes and no cat litter was left on the driveway anymore. You can do this at night while applying some gasket sealant to the O-rings When you wake up in the morning, just call and you'll be ready. You should also remember that if you see it slightly protruding over time (less than a penny's width), it is just settling and pushing it back in will only cause more stress on the O-ring. A new leak will occur when you reinstall the ring. There's a boom.
