I bought it for the crank pulley bolt in a 2001 Toyota 4runner 5VZ-F. A water pump was replaced on an FE engine as part of timing belt and water pump servicing. According to the manual, the belt can stretch, but I probably could have been fine without the replacement. I was not able to finish mine The rope was still stretched even after being pushed 217ft It has a torque of 20 lbs. The part appears to be very high quality, and its ASIN number is also very impressive. Despite the fact that the new bolt has been located for 500+ miles, I doubt there will be any problems.
Based on one of the reviews, I decided to order it as original Toyota packaging was mentioned. In exchange for OEM pricing, I received the bolt in a sealed plastic bag containing no markings. My previous review indicated that it was not an OEM Toyota bolt. I went back to read other reviews and apparently other people had the same experience as me but gave it 5 stars anyhow, as if it "worked. " The mere fact that it "works" does not automatically mean that it should receive the highest rating. One of the things about bolts is that you never know if they will fail until they do. The bolt needs to be fastened to over 200 feet of pipe Because I am not willing to risk messing up the installation because the bolt was not good enough, I am not willing to risk it failing. In view of the fact that this was misrepresented as a Toyota bolt and actually isn't, I will be returning.
The car was purchased from a Toyota dealership. As listed, the part is in perfect condition. This letter was sent by a Toyota dealer in This part bag has the genuine Toyota parts label on it and it is absolutely the same model as I have in my Toyota 4Runner from 2001. In spite of what others have said in other reviews, this is a legit part. When I replace the timing belt bolt, this bolt will also be replaced.
It has been pointed out by another user that this part does NOT come packaged by Toyota. I see no problem with it, however the description is inaccurate. I expect it to be a Toyota part in Toyota packaging since that's what I've experienced when buying Toyota parts in the past.
The fact that Aisin makes Toyota parts is not a problem for me, but I paid for a TOYOTA part and It came in packaging that said Aisin, I'm livid. This is a good part made by Aisin and it should come in a Toyota package. I thought that my purchase would be a Toyota.
Even though the bolt came not packaged by Toyota, the head and the threads fit perfectly since it was stamped correctly for a stock Toyota bolt. The complaint has been resolved.
It can't get any better than this when it comes to price and quality.
