A torque-to-yield bolt is what you need in case you have removed the pulley, and therefore the bolt. When assembling the motor, you really need a new bolt. Normally for this bolt type, a torque process is used to stretch the threads to the point of distortion (yielding), at which point the bolt cannot be further bent without Use an aftermarket aftershave to keep your skin looking young Most likely, the bolt will not have the same hardness as the market bolt It is the engine manufacturer's intent to have this spring ratio. There is no doubt in my mind You can do it right and avoid the risk of ruining your entire project for only a few dollars more.

The fit is perfect, the torque to yield is proper, so it can't be reused

I don't know why Ford prefers the torque-to-yield bolts, but it is a selling point. A good impact made the job much easier. Torquing it down right is tricky, but we got it done. A Ford 5 should be fitted with this. It works perfectly with 4L and 3V.

To put it simply, it is a bolt. It needs to be replaced when removed so I did so. The new harmonic balancer made the same turns as my old one did and is holding my harmonic balancer securely.

Bolts are torqued very well and yield great results

In the event that this bolt is shorter than what I originally ordered, I will delete it. Beyond the harmonic balancer, it did not reach the threads.

A lot of torque to yield bolts are obsolete, so it's a wise idea to replace them all. This part was OEM The engine is overhauled every 160K miles.
