Good performance, but still manageable to drive! Because the lifters are rollers rather than flat, modern engine oils with no zinc can be used. Better performance without having to worry about destroying the cam lobes or lifters!.

383 camera at its finest: Gr8 cam - I'm thinking of swapping in a 276 and comparing the results after I run this just to see how it works in real life - However, I'll most likely return to the 288 on the vic jr

The entire kit is incredible! The valve springs should match the cam, which I prefer. It even had a camera button on it. With roller cams, you'll need to keep an eye on the end play. I'll add vacuum and idle characteristics after I get it installed. 2800, according to Comp Cams. A stall converter of 3000 RPM is required for the 6100 RPM range.

Excellent fuel economy and a hotrod truck feel

On a sbc 350 with dart heads and an airgap manifold, it idles great and is extremely responsive. The edelbrock 1806 also has ultra aluminum rockers farm-style. When hauling a loaded 24'x8' heavy utility trailer, the truck halls butt. Because it gets hot, use their recommended maximum C/R and a good cooling system. It's not enough that I have dual 10" Spal heavy duties on a griffin crossflow.
