Heaters like this cannot be used for any purpose. There are certain engines that it fits. Because it is not equipped with a regulating thermostat, it does not shut off by itself.
By installing a frost plug in the engine block, the engine coolant is kept warm and you can plug your vehicle. Getting started in cold weather is now much easier than ever before, as well as any heat up is much faster.
You don't have to change the dipstick of your car because it has nothing to do with it. Although I used to be called that in high school

I am very pleased with this. I have no complaints about the product, although installation was challenging and the plug was difficult to remove from the transverse engine. The engine heats up quickly and does what it is supposed to do. As there is no lube provided for the O ring, make sure you use silicone grease (petroleum based grease will affect the seal, so you will have to remove it and replace it In order to plug in without opening the bonnet, the cable needs to be a foot or two longer, and finding a route that is both safe from damage and short enough not to require the opening of the bonnet. There is a bit of a challenge getting in. As a user of Kat and Zerostart, I prefer these. They are a little easier to use, as well as being more robust. An internal groove will keep the ring in place, and the ring will not fall out by accident).
It was installed in an old airport tug with a Chrysler flat-6 engine. It had an old style freeze plug with an inner shoulder that held a concave steel cup plug in place. I had a hard time getting the retainer flange or wings into the inner ring, then expanding the flange to hold the heater snug in place. While it did not sit in all the way against the freeze plug outer lip, it did remain in the frozen position The seal fit tightly against the inner ring of the block, and the freeze plug remained tight against the seal. It all makes sense if you ask me. The answer is simple It worked, it doesn't leak, and I was satisfied with it.
The engine is a 2 L V8 from a 1992 Chrysler You only need to thoroughly clean the freeze plug hole before installing the heater since it is an easy installation. You should not over tighten the screw and you should only apply a small amount of silicone. Don't forget to take out the old freeze plug when you do this, since you'll spill a lot of coolant!.
This is what I installed on a 1995 grand Cherokee with the five-speed manual transmission. It has a 2-liter V8 engine. I was able to get it in without any difficulty. I honestly found removing the old plug to be the most difficult step of the installation process. Since I use it with an outdoor timer, I don't have to leave it on all the time. set it up so I can begin driving my car 30 minutes before it does. There is no way it will get the car to operating temperature, but that is not its purpose. If it is cold outside (below freezing), it may take more than 30 minutes for the car to become warm. Thanks to this product, it can be done in just 5 minutes, which is a huge difference for me.
The fit is good, the design is simple, and the product has been functioning well.
It works perfectly - thank you! Listen to it sizzle under subzero temperatures.
The shipping was fast and the product was as described. The product is of high quality!.
I ordered a Mitsubishi diesel engine with three cylinders is this what they came up with? They remark that it fits, but it is too large and they need a 1 3/8 inch block.
