You need to check for a leak on the side of the engine opposite the belts if you have a cooling problem

I replaced this part on a Mazda 3 2 model from 2010. It is hard to access this part due to all the other parts you have to remove to replace it. I was replacing a 0L engine that had been leaking coolant over time. Despite the effort, the result is worth it. My problem seems to have been solved by this part, which is well made. A new temp sensor (attached to this part) was added as well. As a side note, the rubber gasket on the old part was torn, which is why there was a It is the first time the part has been replaced on a vehicle that has logged more than 250k miles.

A perfect fit for the 2009 Mazda 3

In the end, I found the part number on another site, got the part number from Amazon due to Prime, searched on Amazon for that part number, and this part came up, but the search engine said that it would not fit my I can testify to that as I just installed it and my cooling system is no longer leaking.

I found this to be the most effective

There is no reason why the Mazda 5 would wear the gasket on this part after 160k miles. I had about 30k miles on it when I noticed this. Having ordered this part and swapped it out, it was not too difficult to do. My 5 has been running at full capacity with no water leaks since I corrected this problem.
