You are correct. I bought this for my 2004 Chevrolet Colorado.
In 2004, there were 2 billion dollars. We have a Colorado 8L The grounding packs have been found to be the root of this and many other electrical issues with these trucks, according to what I have read. Above the wheel wells, there is a grounding pack on each side of the engine compartment. A grounding pack for the blower motor is situated on the passenger side of the vehicle at After cutting all the wires, removing the grounding pack, sanding down the paint, and installing a grounding bar, I installed another grounding I was able to resolve the issue this way.
a 05 Colorado and it has been great. I haven't had any problems so far, but the 05 and 2012 are the same.

I found it to be a perfect fit. There is nothing wrong with the wire length on this site. I don't know why some people complained about it being too short. We used wire connectors that were the right size to correctly crimp the wires. In less than 15 minutes, I had it up and running. Despite all of the pieces in this kit fitting perfectly without cutting, nothing had to be resized. As per the advice from others, I cleaned the ground box connection under the hood on the passenger side to determine if this was the root cause of the problem. The old connectors that were fried can be seen in the images.
The color coding needs to be improved. They did the bo in a fast and accurate way. This is a good price. Trying to figure out what is different about this than a GMC recall? Most people who have GMC or Chevy vehicles with these parts have learned the hard way that they need to replace it. Is there a reason not to give it five out of five? It is also recommended that the shrink wrap sleeve be about half an inch longer to accommodate this. As an added feature, they should install a plastic channel sleeve that protects the wire harness from getting kicked again in the future, so this doesn't happen again and The harness is situated in a place where it can be kicked and broken easily, which is an oversight in design.
This product is a must for anyone who has the common GM problem that the fan doesn't blow air unless it's full blast, and it's cheaper than ever! Because this product comes with a gasket around the plug, it is impossible for it to move any more. The wiring harness should not need to be replaced like all other harnesses. Additionally, heat shrink butt clips were included with it, which made installation extremely simple. Twenty minutes of your time and some Youtube video are all that is needed! A $10 fix can be done at home, or a $300 fix can be done at the dealer. It would have been nicer if the wires were color coded to match. I gave it a four-star rating due to only one thing, since I thought the wires should have been color coded to match. It is not difficult to cut and remove the wires if you mark the wires left to right in advance.
As an OEM part had burned out at the contacts, I decided to replace it with this. You will not be able to color code or label the wires, so it's important to take your time. After a/c was installed, it still did not operate. This was due to a faulty ground wire. The ground wire is located above the air box on the inner fender facing the passenger. To correct the problem, I removed the bolt and wire, cleaned the connections, and sanded the contact point under the hood. Then I installed the new gas line, and my air conditioner has been working fine. We encourage you to take a trial before purchasing. It takes just 20 minutes and is free.
I found it to be exactly what I expected. The price was very good and the installation was very simple. If you need to replace your blower motor resistor and connector, this product is a great alternative. It fits much more tightly than OEM connectors, which is what I really like about it. The loose fit that causes these items to short out is what causes them to do so in the first place.
The 2005 Chevy Colorado is fitted with this item. In these vehicles, these tend to fail on a regular basis, and I am replacing the resistor for the second time. Thanks to its ease of installation, it's not difficult to set up. It is the connection of the wires on the piggy tail that causes the greatest frustration. As well as the resistor, piggy tail, and wire connectors that come with this. Sadly, it doesn't seem to be working properly. The good news is that all is well!.
I installed it on my 2004 The last month has been flawless in terms of fit and function. The charger can be bought as a whole unit and there is no need to cut wires the price is around $50. You can find plenty of YouTube videos that show you how to do it. You might want to buy extra butt splices from your local auto store just in case you mess up during.
I was able to install it easily 5mm socket), then you can remove the part. GM installed it in a painful place (passenger side footwell), so it is anything but comfortable to work on, hence the 3 stars for "easy to install". "At least the work will be fairly quick. REMOVE THE SCREEN, REWIRE THE PLUG WITH THE HARNESS PROVIDED You'll fry the new resistor if you don't install it correctly, because same overheat / short that fried your old resistor will also do so.
