Questions & Answers
Effort is needed to force the new one onto your head because the old one had a plastic cap. On the new one, pressure is required.
It leaks liquid, something is wrong with your reservoir. I bought it some time ago, and it doesn't leak liquid. I'm not sure how I got the reservoir and cap to work, but they're the same as they were when I bought it. As my vehicle is in Venezuela, a very hot and humid climate, I don't know how it affects the engine.
By overflow pin, I don't understand what you mean. There is both the cap and the tube included
The hoses are attached to the coolant reservoir and the reservoir itself.

I have a 2004 Jeep Liberty 3 and this replacement is perfect for it. The cap on the top was very tight when I got it, but after pressing down hard and twisting it off many times before installation, it was no problem. Just making sure you understand that you have to press down on the top and twist at the same time to get it off is very important. It came with a hose to connect to the radiator and a set of I would recommend this seller based on the price and the speed of delivery.
We are pleased with the fit of our 2002 Jeep Liberty. It never occurred to us to find a crack or a break at the bottom of our old reservoir, which consistently leaked. A new replacement for a quick and easy installation was ordered.
This kit includes an overflow hose for connecting to the radiator, as well as a radiator A very tight fit was the case with this cap. For best results, I recommend taking the cap off and on several times before installing the reservoir so as not to damage it or the bracket on the As hard as it was to remove the cap, we were afraid we might damage the reservoir. I installed it without any hiccups, other than this small issue.
After installing it, my car immediately developed issues. Months after installation, still experiencing acceleration issues. Took it to Firestone thinking that it was the cats that had gone bad, but it actually turned out that it was the coolant tank that was cracked at the bottom and flooding the cylinders. Costly repairs resulted from 6 of these issues.
Unfortunately, it is cheap and defective. While I have purchased many Dorman products for many years without an issue, this one has been a complete disaster for me. As soon as I opened the box, I noticed it looked right, but the cap would not come The robot will not move in the other direction either. It's either the cap is malfunctioning or the plastic mold or reservoir is malfunctioning. Both could be true. I still don't have a part for my Jeep, so it's still malfunctioning. In some cases, it will be better to buy a Mopar, and it appears that this is the case here.
It seems like there are a lot of people complaining about the cap, but there's nothing really wrong with it. There is a pressure cap, and all you have to do is push it down and twist, then it opens! My 2004 Jeep Liberty 3 is equipped with this system.
Although the unit itself is a good replacement product made in Taiwan, the cap that comes with the unit is not of the highest quality and only has a 16psi rating when compared to the original caps' 17psi rating. In my view, it would be wise to swap out the cap the unit ships with with the cap from the original reservoir and the hose clamps from the original, as the ones that come with the unit are quite.
10/10 is an exact match to the original The reservoir is about 80 years old. Now it's easier to see how much fluid is in the reservoir. The parts can easily be replaced. There's one Jeep liberty for each of my children, a Jeep 2003 and a Jeep Liberty 2006. Having replaced each Jeep reservoir because the old one was discolored and difficult to see the fluid level, I have now replaced the reservoirs in both Jeeps. This fuel cap, hoses, and hose clamps come with the tank.
The quality inspection could have been better on this particular item, but I was able to work it out and not have to deal with the hassle of returning it.
