Yes; The oil must be installed because it is in a bottle.
I'm not sure how much plastic it'd pull. However, this is with the air conditioning on. At the very least, 25 people will be drawn in by the system.

I'm not sure if this is normal or not, but it does put a little vapor into the air out the exhaust port; is this normal or does it require some run-in time? you'll need the adapter to reduce the port size to mach standard manifold gauge service sets.
This vacuum broke the first time I used it, and I'm unable to return it now. I tried to get to UPS before the return window closed, but I was unable to do so due to COVID and pregnancy. I'm stuck with this faulty item now.
This little pump is fantastic, and it's a fraction of the weight of the Robinair. It also creates a vacuum in half the time. It's an excellent purchase that I would recommend to anyone working in the HVAC or refrigeration industry.
It works perfectly, and having the oil included saved me the trouble of having to buy it separately.
That'll set you back another $22br>Otherwise, this is an excellent pump.
This is what I'm using to get a diesel cylinder out of the way. Exactly as stated. This is what I'm using to evacuate the diesel cylinder after changing the injectors. Of course, with a canister in line prior to the pump.
We bought six of these for our office. Following the first use, the first three had to be returned. It wouldn't have been able to pull a deep enough vacuum with just two of them. The motor seized on the third one. I was given credit by Ideal, which I promptly returned. Now I've got another one that has a seized engine. They denied me credit despite the fact that it had passed the 90-day warranty period. I still have two out there, but I expect to see them soon for the same issues; the price is good, but it's not worth it if they don't do what they claim. In this case, cheaper isn't necessarily better.
Excellent product at an excellent price; I will use this vendor again and will recommend it to others.
