Questions & Answers

How long does this hose stretch?

These measure 24" in length.

Is this suitable for repairing a line on the high-pressure side of an air conditioning system (ie - line that connects the condenser and the evaporator)?

I'm not sure which line on my Infinity QX56 I repaired, but it was the smaller of the two lines leading to the back evaporator. If used as intended, I believe it is designed to withstand high pressure. So far, this solution has worked perfectly. So far, it has lasted six weeks with no issues. The system appears to be well-protected from the elements. It's been extremely hot here (in the 90s) for the past three weeks, and this has held up admirably. Every day, we travel by car. This is a product that I would strongly recommend.

The hose crimps on this kit are installed with what kind of tool?

You may make use of the Dorman - MTRMT Part 800- Help Hose Clamp Pliers 1 PC 461br>br>It costs $10 and can be found at Advanced Auto Parts. It was also a little too wide, so I had to grind the sides down a little to shorten the crimp area. Because you must first crimp the connector closest to the hose end, then the connector furthest away from the house end (same connector). You won't be able to crimp these individually unless you grind it down first.

I used this on the rear lines of a Nissan Armada because it was a low-cost option
5/5

OEM replacements were not only prohibitively expensive, but also time consuming, so I decided to give it a shot. Installation was simple; aside from a spot where I had to tighten them (while working blindly), it went together without a hitch, and I was impressed with their ease of use. When the cost of replacing a line becomes prohibitive, I will undoubtedly purchase these again.

To replace some hard lines in front of the radiator on my 2008 Lexus GX470, I installed these. An aftermarket off-road vehicle The original hard lines were worn through by the road bumper I installed. This kit allowed me to repair the damaged line and reroute it so that it did not rub against other components. It passed vacuum tests when I took it to my local shop. new condition.

Allows you to repair your air conditioner in new ways! With this kit, I was able to make a custom repair that utilized much of the original aluminum tubing that ran underneath the vehicle

For a 2009 Nissan Pathfinder, it saved more than $500 in repairs.
