Yes, this hose is designed to be used in a variety of situations. Check to see if the damaged hose has the same diameter as the rest of the hose.
If you're using a 5/8 hose, tighten the wrenches up to 7/8. You'll also need the tool to crimp the rings that are encased in blue plastic ring retainers. For $20 on Amazon, you can get a crimp plier tool.
I used this one on the low side, but they also make one for the high side, which is usually a smaller diameter tube in most applications.
