It should work fine as long as the line dia is correct. I've only used it on the h and l sides of semi truck lines and have had no problems.
Each size must be purchased individually. 5/16 3/8 1/2, and so on.
You'll almost certainly need to do some research on your car's make and model. A low-pressure line and a high-pressure line are usually used. A/C is also provided in the back of some vehicles.

Maybe I didn't read enough of the other reviews, but there's a reason they don't show you a picture of the actual pieces you'll be receiving. It appears that you will receive a package containing parts to repair three separate tubes of varying sizes, with only one union, two nuts, and one set of each sized seals and collets included. Only one repair is possible when you join a union. br>The problem with which I can entirely blame the seller - I got two sets of 1/2" seals, but no 5/16" seals. which was exactly the right size for me. So I can't even try the item, but it appears to be well-made and likely to work, so I gave it a two-star rating.
It seemed to work out pretty well. I was having trouble deciding on a size, so I went with the one that was just a smidgeon too small. I had to really tighten it down until it was completely sealed with no leaks, but it's been a few weeks now with a fully pressurized and briefly over pressurized system, and my AC is still very cold. br>br>I put it on a Lexus IS300 from 2001. I swapped out the high-pressure line for a used one, which resulted in a pinhole leak. Instead of replacing the line again, I decided to give this a shot. It wasn't so much about the price of the line as it was about the difficulty of replacing it. Plan B involved flaring the line with Earl's adapters.
It really works. It can be beneficial to have another person assist you in maintaining pressure. You'll be fine if you follow the instructions. I was concerned because I didn't want to install a new line, much less locate one at a wrecking yard (which I couldn't find online). It's blowing cold air out of my rebuilt truck!.
It was an excellent solution. I would advise caution when cutting the line because they are rotten. I had to purchase a new one and splice it with a piece of pipe. If I needed more, I would certainly purchase more.
Side line pressure of 270 psi!! Due to a rub through on a high side ac line, this was my first attempt at repairing it with a tube splice. To tell you the truth, I didn't think it would seal. This splice kit is AWESOME with the right tools and attention to detail! Because the brass expanders are very tight on the tubing, make sure to clean the surface thoroughly and lubricate the tube and insert with compressor oil; this is critical. This splice will seal up perfectly if you evenly tighten the ends while keeping the center from rotating. I am blown away!.
Could liven up an aluminum tube on my Suburban's air conditioner. I particularly appreciated the fact that three sizes were included in the package, allowing me to get it right the first time!.
I used this kit and the tools I needed to fix a rear A/C line on a E350 Ford. The shop wanted $3000 to replace two lines and some other parts and labor, but new lines alone were over $500, so I got this kit and the tools I needed. After the repair, I vacuumed the system and it held the vacuum perfectly. I also serviced the a/c system with the correct refrigerant and quantity for a total cost of $325. 00 instead of $3,000, and you'll still have all the tools you'll need to fix any other car.
Before tightening the crimp, make sure the tube is completely seated in the fitting. If you don't, the new lock nut won't tighten onto your tube after you've crimped it. It will walk the crimp out until the tube is cut or the crimp is removed.
