The diameter of this hose is what? Would 3/4 or 1 inch work better?

It's hard to tell. However, this problem only occurs on Ford Explorer and similar vehicles with thermostat housings to water pumps

This is supposed to fit between the water pump housing and the thermostat housing on an E4. Do you have a 2002 Ford Ranger with a 0 liter engine?

Does the engine have a 0 liter SOHC?

You need to make certain the hose isn't stuck to the end of the tubing. You can remove the hose by cutting it or by using a flexible tool. I paid about 60 for the pliers, which were good quality.

I- OL 0L I am flexible. There is no shortage of products available for this Explorer, but Ford has changed the lower thermostat housing (RH258), causing this replacement hose to be Clamping the hose on did not cause any issues, but the clamping position changed so the hose clamp is closer to the edge of the hose. This is the small hose at the bottom of the thermostat housing in front. Although the cost is too high for such a short piece, it is not that great.
