The hoses are different sizes, but what is their diameter?

It isn't clear to me

It is the heater hose that will come out of the water pump and have a y fitting on it to go to the overflow bottle and heater on the firewall if you have a Tahoe 4x4
5/5

I love the way it fits so well. The OEM style hose clamps irritate me, because my pliers always slip off the tabs, but I like how the Y fitting is actually made from It was very difficult to remove the original factory hose because the y fitting was made from plastic and broke in my hands as I tried to.

I almost get it working with my 2006 Silverado LT3 Crew Cab RWD without an aux HVAC system
4/5

There isn't much of a problem with 2006 Silverado LT3 Crew Cab RWD without the aux HVAC system - almost works perfectly. They apparently opted not to make a version for my truck, as this is for vehicles with rear HVAC controls or aux heaters. i'm not sure why they didn't make a version for my truck. It will work perfectly if you replace that part with a new one or if you reuse the old quick connect.

Hoses that are cracked or brittle can cause a lot of problems
5/5

It didn't occur to me that a cracked hose could leak on my coil pack making it sound like my truck was on its last days - I changed the hose, cleaned out the moisture, and now my truck sounds good again.

The fittings are made of metal
5/5

My 2006 Chevy Avalanche was fitted with a plastic Y fitting, which was disintegrating. That part was replaced with this. Neither the heater hose quick connect nor the heater hose It's the reservoir hose that has to be cut. Then I took off the new hose, coupled the original with the Y fitting, and then put it back on. Having a metal Y fitting is much better than the plastic one that came with the computer. When I need it, there is a spare heater hose I can adapt.

My 05 burb oem plastic joint hose set was replaced with this metal T junction
5/5

The oem hose is removed from the firewall side of the metal pipe (using a hose removal plier instead of a $14 compression fitting tool. The new hose attaches within seconds.

Compared to the GM original hose assembly, the quality is much better! This is a great part! This is unusual for Dorman, as most of the stuff they make is junk, but the metal Y was a greatly needed improvement over the plastic Y that came with the factory GMC

The product is made well, it is good for, and it is affordable
5/5

The hose is of good quality. Replace the plastic "Y" connector with a metal one. The more expensive ones are definitely better. The fit is good. Quite good value for the money.
