The factory one was not clear what kind of plastic it was made of, perhaps polyethylene, perhaps ABS, The strength of this is assumed to be While I'm not sure about everyone else, I got to witness the major cloud/coolant storm behind me when mine blew. I've erased every last trace of it. My only option was to drive the remaining mile at a snail's pace. I used a longer heater hose (2" body lift) in addition to the needle that hit top when I finally killed the engine. The sub-topics I searched for were not found I sent the one I received back because of the hose clamps. Even though the oil appeared to be fine, I changed it and added new coolant to water. It would be great to get another 200k before I switch to VK!.
It works perfectly and would replace your 4 well. You can use the engine from a Nissan Frontier, Xterra, It will fail until your factory plastic inlet fails, so don't wait until it does.
The quality has been greatly improved. Compared to the factory plastic piece which is liable to break or crack, this part is much better quality. It's better to buy this than to find that your coolant is spilled on the trail and your buddies have to go poop in the radiator, and your crankcase is ruined.
It's just what I needed. It has been replaced. In my opinion, I should be safe with this As soon as I touched the old inlet it immediately snapped, and I was happy that I didn't want to keep it if it went out on its own. A new one is swapped for the old one in just two minutes.
I had no problems with the fit, but the spring clamp that came in the package failed less than a month after installation, causing an entire loss of coolant while.
On a second gen xterra, I bought this to replace a rotted heater hose. Although the aluminum portion of the hose is in good condition, the rubber portion of the hose was too large/ the clamp did not provide enough pressure to produce a secure connection with I had to go to the local auto store to get a better quality hose and clamp.
This could have been resolved by a new clamp rather than a pretensioned spring clamp, but a new one is easy to install. The material is far superior to the original plastic.
It is made of metal rather than plastic and is.
