For what you get, it's far too expensive. I've previously been burned by Amazon when they appear to focus or limit your options to what they want you to buy. As it turned out, my lack of understanding of the product cost me. Since receiving this, there have been several alternative kits for half the price; I will get some value from simply having the kit over time, but I am not happy about spending more than necessary.
I couldn't find anyone in town (Baltimore) who had the right tool or Schraders to replace my 2002 Jeep Liberty's Low/High valves - V7 liters Both the sniff and dye tests revealed that BOTH of them were leaking. I was about to take the Jeep to the dealer when I came across this kit. It was a bit pricey, and I was hesitant to make the switch (even though I had already purchased two other, less expensive tools!). )br>br>It arrived today, and I now have new valves in BOTH of my service ports. (The Eaton SSV High Flow Core in the low port is actually an Eaton SSV High Flow Core - A standard Schrader Valve Core is used in the High port, while M8 is used in the Low port. ) It's funny how that happens. This kit had both sizes included. Anyway, it was a nice kit, a nice tool, and a nice case to keep all the valves in, and I finally solved this mystery! You can't go wrong if you're a Liberty owner.
My mechanic was having trouble locating replacement schrader valves for a vehicle he was working on. I brought this kit in for him, and he was overjoyed to be able to get the vehicle out after having the parts houses bring him all kinds of incorrect ones. This is an excellent kit for a shade tree mechanic in a shop or a do-it-yourselfer. I do a lot of A/C work in my garage at home, so getting this was a great idea. I've got one in my shop now as well!.
For the same price, you can purchase this kit. This kit is designed for the papa, the father with children and a car, or the professional. br>Extremely large selection of parts that cover a wide range of models. br>I come from a commercial background. Heating Systems for Cars There is air conditioning in the room. br>Both the High pressure and Low Suction sides of ports should be replaced. br>It's not worth it to lose the entire Freon charge and have to start over with a 30-minute vacuum pump. br>It's not worth it to pay top dollar for just one or two items from the dealer for this collection. For the same price, you can get this kit!.
I purchased this valve core repair kit for my WJ jeep and was able to replace the valve core and repair the leak with it. br>I can now work on other vehicles as well. br>I would recommend this kit to people who own multiple cars; if you only have one car, it is a bit pricey.
Cheap core valves that don't last long (maximum 6 months). I had to replace a number of faulty, defective valves, wasting numerous hours and a significant amount of R134a. BUYING IS A MISTAKE.
It does exactly what it says. It turned out that I didn't require any of the other valve cores. In the future, it appears that I'll be able to drive almost any car.
For our truck fleet, this is a nice service pack. This is the way to fly instead of wasting money on two-packs. Each time a new AC service comes into our shop, I personally replace these. Use this kit to avoid recurrences and slow leaks.
