As with most items, this item does come with an An ring. Before installing, make sure to moisten them up with some air conditioning oil. My recommendation for this product is a big yes!

This is an excellent OEM replacement for the 4Runner

After taking my 1996 4Runner SR5 to the mechanic for some A/C issues, they said it was the expansion valve that needed replacing and it would cost me $600 (of course after they charged me for the refrigerant). I did some research on the 4runner forums and it appears that Denso is the OEM part and that the expansion valve is the most common failure point on the 4Runner A/C system. Saving $570 for $30 and an hour of time? Please include me in your program. Since I'm not used to working on vehicles, it took me *4 hours to complete the particular job, but considering the cost savings, that's not a bad amount of time. I just followed the directions on YouTube videos and the 4Runner's blog and got this guy working. It needs to be refilled with Suddenly, cold air rushes in. This is my fourth installment of writing this *4 months after it was installed. The wind is still gusting very hard.
