The part number is correct, but the part is the wrong one

Both Four Seasons and Amazon say this will fit a 2005 Toyota Tacoma and I don't know how they can say it will. A core like this is not at all the right one. As a result, I spent an entire day removing my original one, only to realize this one won't fit, so I have to leave the truck in pieces until I can find a different transportation option. In spite of the fact that the part number on the box matches up with that on the website, there is no connection between the two. What the heck is going on with Amazon?.

A direct match could not be made here. For it to be placed in the case, we had to put in a lot of effort. The tubes had to be bent and the core had to be reshaped in one corner. After I was done with it, it worked fine.

My unopened box contains this part, and the part number matches the one I received. There was one fitting that was incorrect, and thus would not fit the existing fitting. After it was installed, it was discovered that the fitting was incorrect. What could have gone wrong in the manufacturing process? Do you think the box contains the wrong item? A refund from Amazon was received in a short period of time. I subsequently purchased one locally where the fitting could be measured. My Amazon experience was just one of those things and I would not hesitate to purchase other parts from Amazon again. Amazon service is the subject of the 5 star review.
