This blower I bought on December 15, 2017 for use as a standby and it has sat on a shelf in the box it came in until just two days ago when I needed it. Since I replaced my exhaust blowers about three to five years ago, I know how long they last. Originally, I used the old blow until it started making noise so I changed it. In addition to making more noise than the old one, the new one sounded as if the fan was striking the backing plate, and that is what it actually did.
