I'm not sure how this relates to this product, but to answer your question, if the seals have been removed, you should always replace them.
It appears to do so because it fits my 1988 GMC 350.

Mexico is the source of these varied seals. This is a good thing, because the ones that came with my AC Delco R4 compressor were made in China and blew out after only two weeks. Any time you come into contact with an R4 compressor, it's worth the extra money to get these. These seals, made in Mexico, were installed on my last R4 compressor for over a year and never leaked.
Because the back of the ac compressors now appears to have one side deeper than the other, you'll need these if your ac compressor line is the same size on both sides. Just make sure you get the right depth spacer, or your refrigerant will be quickly ejected.
When I went to install my new R4 compressor, the hose manifold would not seal. They changed the design, and you'll need this kit to make it all work, as I discovered via YouTube. What a pain, but the kit got the job done.
This is the assorted thickness seal kit for your R4 GM AC compressor's depth ports, which may vary. It was a breeze to reassemble my system. Each of the sizes is represented by a different color.
There were no leaks and the fit was perfect.
Installing it was a breeze. My coolant leak appears to be fixed.
Arrived in good condition and performs exactly as expected.
It did exactly what it was supposed to do.
