What do you think about this part for the 2001 Windstar?

For a 2002/2003 Explorer or Sportrac, the vin would depend on the aircraft. For the Windstar, it would be for a 2003/2004 Windstar.

If the fuse blows, should I replace it with this part number? There was a harness here that indicated it to work if the fuse blew. ?

In the event of replacing the harness, you do not need the fuse. Now that the new harness is installed, everything works normally.

The only kit that DID fit my 2003 Excursion, and therefore fixed my cruise control, was this "does not fit your 2003 Excursion" kit

As it was listed as "not fitting" my vehicle, I purchased this kit and the "correct" kit from the Ford dealer at the parts counter, as well as ordered the "correct" 3L3Z part from Amazon in order to fix the cruise control in my 2003 Excursion. The recall jumper was already installed in my vehicle, and it was marked with a blue tag that said to order A rectangular plug was provided on the switch that was fitted with the jumper. There were three replacement switches, all of which had round plugs that did not fit the already-installed parts A jumper has been installed. As I said, the only kit that left me with the correct replacement jumper for my 2003 V10 Excursion is this 1L1Z kit, which had been stated on the website as "does not fit. ". I also got the parts that were supposed to be correct but did not include the required jumper replacement.

The part is a Ford replacement part, but it is bigger than the original. It takes just 5 minutes to install. I have fixed my 1998 F150's cruise control The engine is a 6L V8 with a 5-speed transmission This is a manual transmission).
