I would like to thank you for your business. It is common for brake oil tanks to bear a distinction regarding the type of brake oil. It lacks, we do not know how to identify the specification. We can only identify it by experience. Thanks a lot!
Greetings and thanks for your interest. There are no calibration instructions on this page. Tests can be run by simply selecting the appropriate DOT type.

found the equipment to do this test even though I thought it might be quite expensive, so I checked on Amazon to find out what I could get. As a result, I found the Beley Brake Fluid Tester, liked the design, checked the reviews (most of which were quite good), and found the price to be much less than I expected. My decision to order the LED version was based on the following considerations. Having had the chance to play with it since it arrived a few days ago is really exciting. I have been very pleased with how well it has performed. New brake fluid gave me a readout after I dipped the probe in it. A 1% reading was obtained and straight water was tested again. An alarm was sounded and the lights indicated there was more than 4% of water in the tank (the highest reading). A second check of my brake fluid was conducted the day after my first check. I changed the fluid to This reading is in the yellow zone (5%). The change has been made, which is exactly what I had expected based on the time since the last change, but it is nice to have confirmation and to know that I am still not in the Even so, I have to admit that once the weather gets better, I'll definitely take care of my brake fluid flush. Until I try another brake fluid tester, I highly recommend this one.
DOT3 brake fluid is not accurate. I measured the contents of a freshly opened bottle and it tested Once the probe had been cleaned, I tested another fresh opened bottle with DOT4 and this time I had the same results. The marginal is reduced (1 bar). It's unclear whether there is a procedure for calibrating the.
As for the unit, it powers on and audibly announces to you that it is A bright LED on the front panel of the device makes it easy to see when fluid levels have reached a potentially dangerous level. The modes can be switched with the press of a single button. It is light in your hand in spite of the size of the body filling it. I don't have to worry about it falling from my grasp and breaking on the ground or disappearing into an engine bay void with oily hands. When I work on any multi-threaded application, I use this tool Every time a boat enters my dock, I perform a thorough inspection. In the shop, it lasts a lot longer with a 9v battery than the AA-equipped tool truck.
As you may have suspected, this tool is more useful than you thought. A calibration can be performed on it. When calibrating, it is important to use genuine OEM brake fluid. When the tool does not give accurate readings on new oem brake fluid, calibrating should be done. A calibration involves the following steps 1) Remove the battery
2) Remove the back cover
3) You will see a few switches on the back of the battery. Replace the battery and switch one switch to see if the reading improves or if it gets worse. Then switch the switches together until you get the "OK". 4) Once the back cover and screws have been installed, confirm the result. 5) Secure the battery, and now you're.
I can't run my work horse at the same time In order for a rigid probe to fit into the fluid reservoir, the goose neck must be removed.
My unit gave the same reading on DOT3 fluid that had been in storage for 5 years, as well as on two newly purchased bottles of DOT3. The seals were intact on both bottles. It has a moisture content of 5%. As a result, I did not take a chance on getting a replacement I simply returned the item.
The ABS plastic is very strong and well-suited- This screen is very easy to read, and it is just the right size for easy reading on any LCD display, and the screen is clear and easy to see day or night. I recommend using this product for anyone.
If you change brake fluid unnecessarily just once, you will spend many times as much as this unit does. An employee in a shop used this device. I had previously used test strips for the same purpose, but this is far more convenient. The reading will be instant after insertion of the probe. Easily reusable for an unlimited period of time. In order to know when the fluid needs to be changed, I have done the following
. According to them, high levels of water in brake fluid will lower the boiling point of the fluid and cause brake fade, but it is also important to note that high levels of moisture in the fluid will corrode the internals of your brake system, which is yet another costly and potentially dangerous problem.
