In short, yes. A 1997 Subaru Outback was a good fit. The year 1999 should be treated in the same way.

As an auto mechanic, I am not known for my skills. Having been in the market for a new car for the past few months, I rented my friend's 2007 Subaru Forester (after forgetting it was a stick-shift and I hadn't driven a stick shift It had become impossible to hold the clutch pedal with its original rubber pad. It was a concern that my foot might slip off the bare metal and I would ruin The idea of taking my car to the mechanic to have this rubber pad thing installed crossed my mind, but I decided to watch a few YouTube videos so I could probably figure out how to The old clutch pad was holey and down around the clutch's ankles when I got down there, and I noticed that the brake cover was also worn out and holey. By removing the old pad and stretching the new one over the metal, I managed to remove the old one. Afterwards, I stepped inside and ordered another one of these Subaru, thank you for making the SAME PART to fit a variety of models for years!.
Thank you so much for sending this to me Whenever I use the clutch pedal, my feet don't slip off the pedal when my shoes are wet anymore! I was able to install the new pad in less than a minute because the old one had completely fallen off. All I had to do was slip this new pad over the bare metal pedal, and I was all.
I use both the clutch pedal and the brake pedal on my 2012 Subaru Forester and they fit perfectly. In terms of tread pattern, it is identical to what I removed from the old brake pedal pad. Because I just bought the Forester used, I am unable to verify if there is a brake pedal pad left with the vehicle. It took me less than five minutes to install the pair.
It looks like the original, feels like the original, and fits like the original. The rubber pedal covers aren't spectacular, but they're rubber and they're not going to get you pumped up about it.
I was able to fit it perfectly on the OEM clutch pedal for my 2012 Subaru Outback. After my original pads wore out, I had to replace them. It will be interesting to see whether this is just as robust. I will only update this review if it fails less than 3 years from now.
It took less than a minute for each to be installed.
I love the fit!.
