Once again, wanted AC Delco parts, but they can only be Below is a picture that shows the tab is a bit longer than the caliper bracket, so it would not settle in the While I've heard of such a problem in the past, I've never had it myself. It wasn't possible to stop since I was already in the middle of a big brake job, the additional cost to send these back would be too high. To make the pads fit, I had to grind away a small amount of material at the top and the bottom of each. Buying and paying for OEM parts will ensure that I am able to install them with no problems. As soon as I installed them, I "bed them in. ". The stopping seems to be working very well at the moment. Check back in a few months to see how they do once they are a bit more used. This is an update for August 25 Two stars are going back
It's been 13 months and 11k miles since I gave it back. The wearers of pads wear them. My other vehicles' pads last at least 90k before I need to replace them. I do not want to hear that it's because I drive so recklessly. The best I've seen them make when I owned a General Motors car is No, I am not even going to bother buying a new set of Delco pads. It's just a matter of getting a quality aftermarket set of As long as the AC Delco rotors hold up, I will be happy.
It was disappointing to find out that Delco products are manufactured in India when I thought it would be an original GM product. If I had bought the pads at my local parts store knowing they were probably made in China, I could have saved some money.
After using ACDelco Advantage pads and rotors on my 2008 Chevy Silverado for about 300 miles, they work like OEM products at a much lower cost. Rotors made by ACDelco Advantage are made in China but the pads were made in India. We will know more about their abilities when the time comes.
The little springy tabs on the stainless slides were bent in the wrong direction, 180 degrees from where they should be, so it was better to replace them with a $30 set of brake pads than spend a couple hundred at the brake shop. Here is a comparison of my uploaded photo and the product image. As they came in a box, all 4 of them were like this. I reused the old ones, which was no problem as long as a new one was not needed, otherwise, my truck would have been on jack stands in the garage without any way to assemble it again. Although I have not experienced them this way, it may simply be something I have never heard of before.
They are perfect for the 2011 avalanche. However, I understand how some could say they do not fit without knowing the direction of the pads. It has a good pedal feel and is strong enough to stop.
My chrome wheels were no longer covered in brake dust and I was able to ride in quiet comfort with the Silverado 1500! It's good to be alive.
I was pleasantly surprised that the product came with all the hardware I needed and was simple The wheels came off in under 10 minutes after the wheels were removed.
how eezy peezy the install is and how good value they are for the price.
