With the right setup, you can use this to join any lines using m10x1. As long as you're comfortable cutting and flaring lines, this should work. The fittings are all missing.
This inverted "flared 16mm tube" comes in two parts.
You are right! The stainless steel fittings that you use with this union will work fine. You will also soon be able to purchase stainless steel fittings, unions, and adapters as we will be launching our Stainless Steel fittings program within the next month.

The 2/16 Ni-based ones were paired with 3/16 Ni I cut a backup brake line off of this for a 98 legacy rear brake line job. As of yet, there is no leak.
I had no trouble using it with my 2000 Kia Sportage.
Threads could have been alot better, but overall it is not bad.
