Selected User Reviews For Centric Parts 117.90010 Brake Disc Hardware
On a Mini Cooper, finding the right brake parts, or any parts for that matter, can be difficult. There are a lot of variations, and the JCW version has a lot of brakes. This was the right set of parts for the '05-'06 model. Mini rear brakes from a 2006 S JCW vehicle.
The squeal from the front brakes has been eliminated. To get rid of front brake noise and squeal, you'll need some hardware. After noticing one side was broken at the insertion bend, I assumed I could get by without it, but the brakes continued to squeal even after new pads were installed. The noise is no longer present since the new ones were installed. It was half the price of a physical store and worked perfectly.
Because the other parts were still in good condition, I only needed to use the steel springs. The Centric springs did not seem to fit properly on my caliper. They didn't fit perfectly, particularly where the ends were supposed to align with the caliper housing's holes/slots. I put it down to the springs having a slight bend or curve. In any case, they fit and haven't popped out, so I suppose it's fine.
I bought these after realizing that the brake pads I bought didn't come with clips.
A true lifesaver! My caliper's retaining disc brake spring had dislodged itself in some way. My calipers for a 2007 VW Rabbit fit perfectly with the springs.
The items performed admirably.
It's a fantastic deal!.
It appears to be the right fit.
