Selected User Reviews For Carlson Quality Brake Parts 13428Q Disc Brake Hardware Kit
I just had my first shim break experience! So, last year, I invested in a complete Power Stop Brake Tow-Hauling System. For my 2012 Nissan Frontier, I ordered a rated kit (rotors, pads, and hardware) for the front and rear. Overall, a great kit in terms of rotors and pads, but the hardware is clearly a flaw. I began to hear the exact noise that occurs when the wear indicator bar comes into contact with the rotor; The noise came from the shim, which appeared to be of good quality in the Carlson Hardware Kit. Definitely superior to the shims used by Power Stop; I can't speak for other pad manufacturers because I haven't paid much attention in the past, but it should be noted that the Frontier's rear brakes do not use pad return springs, and this kit does not include any. The Frontier's front brake pads do use return springs, and I did buy a Carlson "Front" Hardware Kit to replace the Power Stop Hardware.
The parts are of excellent quality and fit perfectly.
They fit perfectly and are very attractive.
Only one of the four return springs, as well as one of the caliper hold-down sleeves, should have been two.
It was a success.
Fast delivery of a good product.
Good fit.
