According to my RV mechanic, the motor is sealed, which is why I had to buy a new one
This item does not include the coupler. In such cases, you will probably not have to replace the coupler if the pump wasn't leaking and the coupler wasn't damaged during motor removal.
used by my motor home in order to level the wheels. It should be able to work if the motor fits. A ridiculously high price
Selected User Reviews For Lippert Hydraulic Pump Motor Leveling Systems
The motor on this motor home is used for my leveling system. A leveling cycle had already been used for less than twenty times when the original was destroyed. It cost over $850 to replace this item. There are some websites that are over $1100 and I found some that were as low as $800. Comparatively, I was unable to find a similar 12 VDC reversible motor that was over $250 for any reason other than this specific leveling system. There were hundreds of them and I looked at them all. The packaging for the CD was also poor. As soon as I received the motor, one of the contact studs started poking out from one of the numerous holes they had made within the box. My flange on the pump's mating end was so dented and scratched that I had to take a file and a crocus cloth and about an hour of labor just to make the mating surface true enough to meet the pump's flange. In fact, the pump shaft has a coupling to mate with the drive, but it isn't a flexible coupling that will compensate for misalignments, but a solid one to fill the space. The new one seems to be a little quieter than the original one, and it works fine. It is also important to note that you need a new pump/motor coupling this time around that Amazon did not have at the time. Make sure you get the new style coupling with the two O-rings. There are rings. If you need that separately, you may need to contact.
The $900, as I've read other reviews, is a good deal. A poor packaging job has resulted in bubble wrap that is cracked along with holes punched in It appears there are no damages to the motor and the motor was easily installed. Initially, it seemed to work, but I will have to see if it continues. In the future, I hope Amazon will take steps to improve the packaging.
An initial trip out caused the part to fail. We are unable to get a response from the.
Taking advantage of RV owners who have no other choice but to replace their entire jack system is, in my opinion, what Lippert is doing.
It fixed my problem and had me back on the road in no time. I hope it continues to function for years to come.
The refund is what I need!.
It is very expensive, the package is a bit loose in the bottom, and one portion of the electric cable sticks out of the bottom of the box - looks fine so far, hope it is not damaged during shipping - and there is very little packaging to prevent the motor from moving during shipping.
