I don't know if it's the same part number for the 1997 Ford Mustang and 1994-1997 Ford Mustang, but Ford says it is. In 1998, the bodies of all the students were the same. This is 3E723.

It's a pain that I have to do it. As with this part, it fit my 95 bronco perfectly. I know why Fords are hated by so many. I'm still buying them (even though I'm right there with It was so difficult to find the tiny part of my steering console that I had to take everything apart.
