This was on a 2014 Wrangler, where we took out the carpet, put in desiccant to remove the moisture, and had to remove the carpet. In the end, we tried this tape, took the car to the car wash to find the leaking areas, and reinstalled it There was no problem. Taped those areas. There have been no more leaks in the soft top, and there have been some torrential downpours. That's great that this was found!.
I am glad I did this as it fixed a leak I have been dealing with for months. If I had known how easy this was and what needed to be changed, I would have done this earlier. The gasket at the top front corner of your soft top can be easily replaced if you notice that it has worn or is missing.
