It is unlikely that I would let it flop around all by itself. Having fabricated an aluminum bracket that is hard mounted and attaches to screw holes in the original bracket mounts, I installed it on the car and it works perfectly. Since I have two zip ties holding another bracket to the car, I do not have to remove the zip ties.
