The pump and a new power steering line have been installed. When I filled to the mark, I started the car, but the power steering was completely nonexistent. I gave it some time to see if perhaps the pump needed a few minutes to prime. It looked as if the reservoir were overflowing when I looked at it When the output side of the unit was disconnected, only a small trickle emerged. Replaced the original with a copy of the original and everything became as it was. Whatever the reason, it did not work. I'm not sure what went wrong with the molding or how some casting flash blocked it. It is a 0 out of 10.
I replace this and the integral filter with my Ridgeline's power steering fluid, just as the OEM did. You can find several YouTube videos to follow to replace this and the integral filter.
Does come with the filter on the inside.
It is a perfect replacement for the old dirt container. It is well made and comes with a In my opinion, it's a better design.
I like it that it works, but if it weren't for the set up, I wouldn't buy it. It is about half an inch thick. There is now no hose, just a metal bracket rubbing against it. It will have to be watched or I should install a larger tube to prevent chafing.
It took less than 10 minutes to install. If the power steering pump needs replacing, it should be done at the same time.
As the original, this reservoir for the power steering is also identical. It did its job quite well.
The original was a great deal, just like the copy.
