Questions & Answers

Is this designed to use a diameter of vacuum lines?

It has a hose jack and two The first number is 7/32 and the second number

What do you recommend, an external check valve or a canister with a built-in check valve?

There is a check valve on the tank in case the check valve should fail or if the tank begins to leak. I have also added another check valve for insurance.

Until the engine rpm increases, the brakes on the car do not release fully. The vacuum needs to be adjusted or the master cylinder needs to be adjusted?

My assumption is that there is more to the problem than just a vacuum. Perhaps there is a problem with either the master cylinder or brake booster. Problem with vacuums is just not there

This may also be a replacement for Ford part number How about a 0 with a four-wheel drive and a five-speed transmission?

There may be a problem with - I used this on my 2003 E250 van and it worked great

This was the perfect product for repairing the air conditioner vent in my Ford 2000 van
5/5

We need your help, Dorman! For my van, the only vent where the A/C came out of was the default defrost vent, so it was fixed with the 47076 Vacuum Tank Unit. There are no other parts required to make your AC work again since it is equipped with its own internal check valve. There is no need to cut the hose. You can disconnect the red line (wrapped) that is located just behind the oil filler neck thanks to the rednecks on Utube. Removing the doghouse and reconnecting the line will result in the inside of the van being able to be used. There is a bolt on the passenger side of the engine cover near the top that needs to be removed. You can find awls or small screwdrivers at any hardware store. Push the awl through the hole in Take off some of the black plastic insulation so you can trim it Removing the connector on the red hose and pulling through the hole left by the bolt will allow you to install the gasket. If it is pulled off, the bolt can be reattached after threading through the hole. (It is hard to pull off, but it comes off. ) There is no need to use any other end on the Dorman since this fits perfectly on the big port. Located on the right side of the cab, inside the passenger side, are two hoses, a black hose and a white hose. In the black one, the firewall is breached. Unplug the bushing from the 'other' side of the fire wall. This side will fit easily on the smaller connection on the Dorman. Wiggle the bushing through the fire wall and pull it in a bit. You'll notice that the air now comes from the vents after you fire that puppy up! You'll find the Dorman on the side of the dash under the right hand dash, where you need to slightly push it past some wires, where it will Thanks a lot! The parts are not cut or modified in any way. Do not bother with the exposed ends of the As difficult as it seems, it was to take off the doghouse, which was made easier by the exterior plastic housing on it merely lifting off, giving you more room to place that pig in a different location.

A problem with my Ford E250 Econoline van has been resolved
5/5

The item is not a Ford part, but it has a built-in check valve, and therefore is a better alternative to the stock part. It is necessary to purchase a check valve separately for a Ford part. One of the most common problems with 2001 Ford vans is rotting rubber hoses in the vacuum reservoir. You can set the defroster controls however you want and all of the blower air will come out regardless of what you select. If you route a vacuum line from the engine to this canister, then route the link to the climate control system, the HVAC system will work again. You don't lose vacuum when going up hills because it has an integral check valve. This application was easy to install and provided a quick solution to a serious problem I faced. The canister was tucked under the dash on the passenger side and zip tied in place by using a bungee cord.

It's a great buy
5/5

Here we are. I can't believe it. In fact, yes. In my E350 van, where I replaced a failed factory unit, this now lives in place of the failed The actual installation of the replacement part lasted less than five minutes, it ticks out of the way, and the a/c now kicks front and back and does not default to the defrosting The internet was kind to point me in this direction. If you face the same problem, do you think it would be cheaper to go to the dealer for $1500 between the two repairs? "Duuuuh," you say.

The E- is repaired without the use of any additional parts Approximately 350 HVACs are in place
5/5

Thanks to this vacuum canister, I was able to adequately repair the HVAC system on a Ford E-150 It is possible to modify a 350 van without getting any additional parts. Using the old, broken canister as a model, I was able to remove the vacuum lines and connectors and feed them back through the firewall. This allowed me to attach Connecting the vacuum lines to the canister was originally done with original fittings. Because of the built-in check valve in the canister, I did not need to reinstall the original Ford check valve. There was no problem, and now everything is as it should be.

Worked like a charm! There is a 2011 Ford E-150 in my driveway I bought this reservoir after reading the recommendations here for a Ford 350 cutaway van
5/5

To do this, I had to remove the doghouse, disconnect the red vacuum line by the oil fill, and disassemble the trailer. After drilling a small hole in the side of the truck and pulling the line through, the line entered the passenger side of the It is under glove compartment (right side) that I found the black vacuum line, and I connected it to You will need to push existing black vacuum line (after you cut it) into the new black vacuum line after cutting the existing black vacuum line. I ordered extra 1/8" vacuum hose (from amazon) as you will need to push existing black vacuum line into the new black vacuum line There is a slight problem with the vacuum port on this tank due to the existing black vacuum line. My wire tied up the tank so that it could not I am now able to run my A/C like a dream!.

Now that the air does not switch back to the defrost vents every time I step on the gas, I can enjoy the ride more
4/5

A 2012 Ford E3 50 super duty cargo van with a 5 speed manual transmission is available for rent. I do not know why I have to step on the gas when I try to merge because the defrost Vance blows air out. If the air is blowing back out the vents on the front of the Dash, I must let off the gas. What you need in this case is a vacuum tank unit. The vent is located right under the hood, right by the battery. There are two plastic vacuum lines that are connected to the adapter up there, and you can just unplug those and install them directly onto the.

I liked it a lot
5/5

I used this vacuum canister for my 2003 E250 van and it worked well - When the original canister failed, it was impossible to replace it- There was just enough room under the dashboard for this one- The only work involved was rerouting a couple vacuum lines - completed in 20 minutes - There is a built-in check valve on this canister.

This is a good part
5/5

I used it to relocate the Ford Econoline air vent control vacuum cleaner of my dad. It comes with some hoses that are adapted. There is no problem holding vacuum in this. -
7- A new decade The second time I have purchased this part for another Ford. It is a good part, and is easy to install. 1/4 and 5/32 hoses were found to work, the larger port being engine side and the smaller port being device side.
