I just completed the installation of ten lights - a total of five red and five yellow - (With the exception of one, which I believe is in the RV rather than the lite), everything worked flawlessly. br>2 wires from the lite, 2 wires from the RV (unless they're wired in series, in which case there are 2 black, 2 white - one of each in opposite directions)br>It should work fine for you!
The hot wire is connected to the LED light, and the ground wire is connected to the light's metal part! These LED lights are fantastic! br>
There's not a lot of room. To thread the wires, I needed to drill a hole in the back.
red indicates that something is extremely hot. Black = neutral / ground (at the end of the day, neutral and ground are the same thing).

When lit, they have a nice appearance. However, when led assemblies fail, as opposed to the old style with a cheap, replaceable bulb, it's a real pain. Those were simple to replace and lasted a long time (until the Chinese took over bulb production, that is). After only two years of being on an R. One of the people who sat under a cover for the majority of the time has died. It's not unusual for us to behave in this manner. In general, we've had a lot of bad luck with leds - both in the house and in the car Now I need to figure out if I can buy just one light (or is it a set?). ), climb back up the ladder, cut the sealant away, clean it, remove the light, cut the wires, and start over. RV sealant isn't cheap, and neither is my time, so I'm not happy. IF YOU BUY IT NOW, YOU'LL SAVE MONEY. THE QUALITY OF LED MANUFACTURING MUST BE ENHANCED! Whoever said that leds are more dependable was mistaken. HE WAS A LYING MONKEY! It's a good thing it didn't happen on a trip, and it's even better that others here were spared. Some of them have also been fortunate for me. Luck. It's not a good idea to take a chance with your vehicle's lighting.
Not to mention my own, I'm surprised by the positive feedback from campers who have used these. These marker lights are marketed for campers/ RVs, and the description includes a picture of an RV, which is exactly what I was hoping to use them for. However, I do not believe that this application is appropriate. While the lights themselves appear to be watertight, the housing has several large holes that would allow a lot of water to get behind it and into the hole in the RV where the wires exit. br>br>On the back of my old lights (which are being replaced), there is a gasket and sealing surfaces (see photo). Water couldn't get behind them with these in place. The new one could probably be sealed with caulk, or maybe some RVs have a seal where the wire exits, but it was clearly not designed to keep water out of whatever it's attached to. The Bargman is a 34-year-old man who lives in the United States The 809 OEM incandescent lights were twice the price and came with gaskets, but I don't want water getting into my motor home's roof.
These lights are a lot brighter than the ones on my RV before. They were simple to wire in and secure to the sides, and the installation was straightforward. White to the white ground, black to the green positive line (on my camper, the line is green; on many others, it may be black), and the screw to the site where you want to put them. I switched out the old bulbs for these because I figured that regular bulbs would eventually be phased out, leaving me with little choice but to install LEDs. I believe these will last longer than regular bulbs and will be easier on my truck's electrical system because they use less electrical energy to illuminate while driving at night or in weather conditions where using the lights is recommended. I strongly advise you to use these instead of your RV's standard lights.
Although these lights were inexpensive, they came with a price: finding and installing an eye to the ground wire that would fit flat enough on the roof of my horse trailer, given the light's shallow depth. Unless you're installing on a trailer frame, in which case you can drill through the frame and attach the ground wire inside, I recommend looking for lights that already have an eye attached to the ground wire. That said, they work fine; it's just a lot of work to set them up!.
My 2008 Jayco 24RKS travel trailer lost all of its stock amber lenses. After discovering that Jayco does not sell replacement lenses, I was forced to replace the entire light. These were your options. Plusses - All of them worked, and the screw holes were all the same size, so no additional holes had to be drilled. To keep it waterproof, it's made of heavy-gauge plastic with all LEDs potted. I'd give them five stars if they sold lenses separately, but I haven't been able to locate anyone who does. I'll just keep the red ones that aren't in use as spares in case they break.
To begin with, the amber and red lights are two separate colors. When you're installing them, don't mix them up. Make sure the polarity is correct in your wiring harness. When I installed them, I used clear sealant behind them, but it wasn't necessary. The screws that came with them appeared to be too weak and too small for the holes that already existed. br>On my trailer, the existing wiring was a single strand, so I connected the black wire to the frame and everything worked fine.
This is a fantastic enhancement. These were an excellent replacement and upgrade for my Allegro's worn-out and broken running lights. I just finished installing more of these on the RV because the old ones were disintegrating and could no longer hold the LED bulbs. All that was required was for the black to be used as the 12v supply and the white to be used as the ground - ground to the frame by wrapping around one of the metal screws. The signal markers and chassis lights benefit greatly from the addition of six LEDs. We are grateful for their presence.
123117 Partsam 5 Amber 5 Red Surface Mount Side Marker 6 Leds Clearance Lamp with Removable Lens, 4" x 2" B00Z5SH75I is the AISN code for this product. br>I purchased these solely to replace missing lenses and covers on my trailer. They were a perfect fit for the standard "oval" (NOT squared-off rectangle) lights. The base also has colored LEDs as an added bonus. Even if the lens is broken, the light will still be the correct color.
